EasySwitch documentation
EasySwitch lets one mouse and keyboard control several computers — macOS, Windows and Linux — over your own local network, carries the clipboard and your files with it, and can turn a linked computer into a second display. These guides cover install, pairing, every feature, and the common fixes.

Getting started
Install
- Install on macOS Install EasySwitch on macOS and grant the Accessibility, Input Monitoring and Local Network permissions it needs to share your mouse, keyboard and clipboard.
- Install on Windows Install EasySwitch on Windows 10 or 11 from the Microsoft Store or the direct installer, allow it through the firewall, and share a keyboard across machines.
- Install on Linux Install EasySwitch on Linux, give it access to uinput, and see what works on Wayland versus X11 when sharing a mouse, keyboard and clipboard with Mac and Windows.
Features
- Keyboard shortcuts Every EasySwitch shortcut: double-tap Ctrl to take control back, Ctrl+Alt+1-5 to switch machines, Ctrl+Alt+L to lock input, and how Cmd and Ctrl translate.
- Clipboard and file transfer Copy and paste text, images and files between Mac, Windows and Linux, drag files across the screen edge, and see why nothing transfers until you paste.
- Use another computer as a second monitor Use another computer as a second monitor with Extend: create a real extra display, see which systems can host or show one, and fix it when it doesn't appear.
Reference
- Security and privacy Your desktop is never captured, every connection is end-to-end encrypted with the Noise protocol, machines pair by fingerprint, and licenses verify offline.
- Licensing and pricing What's free in EasySwitch and what a license adds: two computers free forever, and one-time Pro and Business keys for bigger files, more machines and displays.
Help
- Troubleshooting Fixes for the common EasySwitch problems: computers not showing up, macOS permissions, a laggy cursor over Wi-Fi, firewall and SmartScreen, dropped connections.
- Uninstall EasySwitch Remove EasySwitch cleanly from macOS, Windows or Linux: free your license seat, delete the app and its settings, and undo the permissions it asked for.
- FAQ Quick answers to the questions people ask most.
